PRIVACY POLICY

SplitBee is developed and published by Vidhan Technologies.

This Privacy Policy explains how SplitBee handles information when you use the mobile application, advertisements, and the optional Google Drive Backup and Restore feature.

By installing or using SplitBee, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. ABOUT SPLITBEE

SplitBee is a personal group expense management application. It helps users manage:

• Trips

• Travellers, families, and groups

• Collections

• Shared expenses

• Expense splitting

• Balances

• Settlements

• Reports

SplitBee is intended for personal record-keeping only.

SplitBee does not provide banking, payment processing, money transfer, lending, credit, investment, insurance, tax, legal, or financial advisory services.

2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER IN SPLITBEE

SplitBee stores information that you manually enter into the app, which may include:

• Trip names, destinations, dates, and status

• Traveller, family, and group names

• Collection records

• Expense titles, amounts, dates, notes, and payment details

• Information about who paid an expense

• Expense split selections and custom split amounts

• Settlement information and calculated balances

• App preferences and settings

You should avoid entering sensitive personal information that is not necessary for managing your expenses.

3. LOCAL STORAGE

By default, your SplitBee data is stored locally on your device.

Vidhan Technologies does not operate a remote server that stores your SplitBee trip, traveller, collection, expense, balance, or settlement records.

You control the information entered into SplitBee. Deleting the app, clearing its app storage, resetting the app, or losing your device may permanently remove locally stored data unless you have created a backup.

4. OPTIONAL GOOGLE DRIVE BACKUP AND RESTORE

SplitBee offers an optional Google Drive Backup and Restore feature.

When you choose to use this feature, SplitBee requests access to the following Google Drive permission:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata

This permission allows SplitBee to save and restore backup data in a private, application-specific area of your selected Google Drive account, known as the Google Drive app-data folder.

SplitBee does not request general access to your Google Drive files. It does not access, read, modify, or share files outside its private app-data folder.

Google Drive Backup is optional. You decide:

• Whether to sign in with Google

• Whether to create a backup

• Whether to restore a backup

Your backup data is transmitted to and stored in the Google Drive account you select.

5. GOOGLE ACCOUNT INFORMATION

SplitBee uses your Google account only when you choose to use Google Drive Backup and Restore.

Google Sign-In is not used as a general SplitBee account, social login, or mandatory registration system.

Your Google account is used only to authorize access to SplitBee’s private Google Drive app-data folder.

SplitBee does not receive or store your Google account password.

Google’s handling of your account information and Google Drive data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and terms.

6. ADVERTISING AND GOOGLE ADMOB

SplitBee displays advertisements using Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google.

Ads may include formats such as:

• Banner ads

• Native ads

• Interstitial ads

• Other supported advertising formats that may be introduced in future versions

Google AdMob and its advertising partners may automatically collect or process certain information when an advertisement is requested, displayed, viewed, or interacted with.

Depending on your device, Android version, privacy settings, consent choices, SDK configuration, and applicable law, this information may include:

• Device IP address

• General or approximate location estimated from the IP address

• Advertising ID

• App Set ID

• Other device or account-related identifiers

• Device type and operating system information

• App version

• Mobile network or connection information

• App launch information

• Advertisement impressions, views, taps, and interactions

• Video views where video advertisements are shown

• Diagnostic and performance information

• Crash, hang, startup-time, and SDK performance information

Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, user interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.

SplitBee does not intentionally send your entered trip names, traveller names, expense amounts, collection records, balances, notes, or settlement details to Google AdMob for advertising purposes.

7. PURPOSE OF ADVERTISING DATA

Google and its advertising partners may use advertising-related information for purposes such as:

• Displaying and delivering advertisements

• Selecting advertisements

• Personalizing advertisements where permitted

• Measuring ad impressions and interactions

• Limiting how frequently an advertisement is shown

• Generating aggregated advertising reports

• Detecting invalid traffic, fraud, abuse, and security issues

• Improving advertising and SDK performance

• Complying with legal obligations

Personalized advertisements may be based on previously collected activity or inferred interests.

Non-personalized advertisements are not selected using a user’s past behaviour. However, identifiers or similar technologies may still be used for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention, security, and aggregated reporting.

Google’s handling of advertising information is governed by its own privacy policies, advertising policies, and user privacy controls.

8. ADVERTISING CONSENT AND PRIVACY CHOICES

Where required by applicable law, SplitBee may display a consent or privacy-options message using Google’s User Messaging Platform or another compliant consent-management solution.

Depending on your location and choices, SplitBee may request:

• Personalized ads

• Non-personalized ads

• Limited ads

Users in certain regions, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, may be asked to provide or manage consent before eligible personalized advertising is requested.

The available advertising choices may depend on:

• Your country or region

• Applicable privacy laws

• Your consent selection

• Your device settings

• Google account and advertising settings

• The availability of eligible advertisements

You may also be able to manage advertising personalization through your Android device settings or Google advertising controls.

Where available, SplitBee may provide a Privacy Options entry within the app so you can review or change applicable advertising choices.

9. HOW SPLITBEE USES INFORMATION

Information entered into SplitBee is used to provide the app’s functionality, including:

• Creating and managing trips

• Managing travellers, families, and groups

• Recording collections and shared expenses

• Calculating individual or group shares

• Calculating balances and settlements

• Displaying reports

• Saving information locally

• Backing up and restoring information when requested

• Remembering app preferences and settings

• Displaying advertisements

• Maintaining app stability and performance

Vidhan Technologies does not sell your manually entered SplitBee financial, expense, traveller, or trip information.

10. DATA SHARING

SplitBee does not sell, rent, or trade your manually entered trip, traveller, collection, expense, or settlement data.

Information may be processed by third-party services in the following circumstances:

Google Drive

When you use the optional backup or restore functionality, backup data is transmitted directly to the Google Drive account you select.

Google AdMob

When advertisements are requested or displayed, certain device, advertising, interaction, network, and diagnostic information may be transmitted to Google and participating advertising partners.

Legal requirements

Information may be disclosed where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, court order, or an enforceable governmental request.

Third-party services handle information according to their own terms, privacy policies, retention practices, and security measures.

11. DATA SECURITY

SplitBee is designed to keep your expense-management data under your control.

Your primary SplitBee records are stored locally on your device. Optional Google Drive backups use Google authentication and Google Drive services.

Advertising-related information is transmitted and handled by Google AdMob and its participating advertising partners according to their respective privacy and security practices.

Information collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK may be encrypted during transmission using secure technologies such as Transport Layer Security.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting:

• Your device

• Your device lock or password

• Your Google account

• Your Google Drive backup access

• Any exported or shared information

12. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Locally Stored Data

Locally stored SplitBee information remains on your device until you:

• Delete records through the app

• Use an available reset or deletion feature

• Clear the app’s storage

• Uninstall the app

Google Drive Backup Data

Google Drive backup data remains in SplitBee’s private app-data area of your selected Google Drive account until it is replaced or deleted through available backup-management functionality or according to Google’s applicable account and retention practices.

Advertising Data

Advertising-related information collected by Google AdMob is retained and deleted according to Google’s own retention policies, legal obligations, account settings, and advertising-system requirements.

You may be able to reset or delete your Android Advertising ID through your device’s privacy or advertising settings.

13. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

SplitBee is not directed to children and is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to use the app independently.

Vidhan Technologies does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Parents or guardians should supervise a child’s use of the app where appropriate and should not allow children to enter unnecessary personal information.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through SplitBee, contact Vidhan Technologies so the matter can be reviewed.

14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

SplitBee may use services provided by third parties, including:

• Google Drive

• Google Sign-In or Google Identity services

• Google AdMob

• Google User Messaging Platform

These services may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Vidhan Technologies does not control the independent data-processing, retention, or security practices of these third-party providers.

15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect:

• Changes to SplitBee

• New app features

• Advertising or analytics integrations

• Changes to third-party services

• Legal or regulatory requirements

• Changes to our information-handling practices

The latest version will always be made available on this page.

The “Last updated” date will be revised whenever material changes are made.
