SplitBee is developed and published by Vidhan Technologies.

This Privacy Policy explains how SplitBee handles information when you use the mobile application and optional Google Drive Backup feature.

By using SplitBee, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. About SplitBee

SplitBee is a personal group expense management app. It helps users manage trips, travellers, collections, shared expenses, balances, settlements, and reports.

SplitBee is designed for personal record-keeping only. It does not provide banking, payment processing, lending, credit, investment, insurance, tax, legal, or financial advisory services.

2. Information You Enter in SplitBee

SplitBee stores information that you manually enter in the app, such as:

• Trip names, destinations, dates, and status

• Traveller, family, and group names

• Collection records

• Expense titles, amounts, dates, notes, and payment details

• Expense split selections and custom split amounts

• Settlement information and balances

• App preferences and settings

3. Local Storage

By default, SplitBee stores your data locally on your device.

Vidhan Technologies does not operate a server that stores your SplitBee trip, collection, expense, traveller, or settlement data.

You control the data entered into the app. Deleting the app or clearing its app storage may remove locally stored data unless you have created a backup.

4. Optional Google Drive Backup

SplitBee offers an optional Google Drive Backup and Restore feature.

When you choose to use this feature, SplitBee requests access only to:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata

This permission allows SplitBee to save and restore SplitBee backup data in a private application-specific area of your selected Google Drive account, known as the Google Drive app-data folder.

SplitBee does not request access to your other Google Drive files and does not access, read, modify, or share files outside its own private app-data folder.

Google Drive Backup is optional. You choose whether to sign in with Google and whether to create or restore a backup.

5. Google Account Information

SplitBee uses your Google account only when you choose to use Google Drive Backup.

SplitBee does not use Google sign-in as a general app account or social login feature. A Google account is used only to authorize the optional backup and restore functionality.

6. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used only to provide SplitBee features, including:

• Managing trips and shared expenses

• Calculating balances and settlements

• Displaying reports

• Saving your data locally

• Backing up and restoring your data when you choose to use Google Drive Backup

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data Sharing

SplitBee does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Your backup data is sent directly to the Google Drive account you select when you use the optional backup feature. Google’s handling of data is governed by Google’s own policies and terms.

8. Data Security

SplitBee is designed to keep your data under your control.

Local app data is stored on your device. Google Drive Backup uses secure Google authorization and Google Drive services when you choose to use the feature.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, Google account, and backup access.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored SplitBee data remains on your device until you delete it through the app, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

Google Drive backup data remains in the private SplitBee app-data area of your selected Google Drive account unless it is replaced or deleted through SplitBee’s backup functionality.

10. Children’s Privacy

SplitBee is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use the app independently.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect changes to SplitBee, legal requirements, or our data practices.

The latest version will always be available on this page. The “Last updated” date will be revised when changes are made.
